Spring Tackle
The spring tackle football is a boys youth tackle football program for elementary and middle school aged children. Our program is based in Anthem, Arizona and serves the surrounding communities.
It is highly advised to sign up early and plan ahead. Anything equipment related takes time to find, order, and get delivered.

Ages
We typically offer teams at the 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U and 8th Grade levels.
The age cutoff date for each player is 07/31/2025. This means the following: The age of your child as of 07/31/2024, will be the level they participate in. For example, if your child is 13 as of 07/31/2024, we will put them on the 14U team, etc. We encourage all players to play with their grade level.
When
The Spring Season typically begins with practice in early February. The first game is in Mid March and the season runs through Mid May.
Where
Practices are held at Boulder Creek High School or the Anthem Community Park.
Practices
Most teams practice two or three days per week. Practice is typically 2 hours. Younger ages typically practice from 5-7 with older kids practicing from 7-9. All depending upon field availability.
Games
The season will have a minimum of eight games and a maximum of ten depending upon the playoffs. Games are played primarily in the Phoenix Metro area but there are teams from all over Arizona so games can be played in Flagstaff, Prescott or Yuma.
We do host games at Boulder Creek every season.
Jerseys
Practice jerseys and games jerseys can be purchased in the registration process. You can reuse the jersey for multiple seasons if so desire.
Extra Costs
Players are responsible for providing all of their own equipment including pads and helmets. Your athlete will be responsible for a black helmet/black face mask (any black color is fine)--ANY BLACK COLOR IS FINE (shinny, matte, standard, glossy, etc)
Your athlete will be responsible for shoulder pads, white practice pants, white and/or black game pants (TBD), belt, knee pads, a 7 piece girdle (or integrated pants with pads in them is fine), mouth guard, water and football cleats. (Cups, jock straps, elbow pads, gloves, etc are at each athlete's discretion)
There is also a fee of $10 paid to National Sports ID for age verification.

Are scholarships available?
Yes. If your family is experiencing a financial hardship, please kindly reach out to us, and our organization will help anyway possible, and do so in a confidential manner. For a scholarship application please email craigboates@gmail.com. We do not want cost to prevent anyone from being able to participate in football.
Are payment plans available?
Yes. During registration you can elect to pay in full for in three monthly payments.
Do you rent pads and helmets?
No. Unfortunately, we do not offer any equipment rentals.
